Teachers'  Day

Teachers are an integral part of students’ lives.

To appreciate all the hard work and effort they have put in making us what we are today, the Students’ Union 2017-18, in collaboration with various clubs of the college, put up a cultural programme for teachers. Following the President’s address, the Principal presented the scholarship on behalf of the staff council to the president. Dr. Anne Samuel and Dr. Sumithra Dawson of the Fine Arts Department were felicitated for their 25 years of service. The Golden Jubilee Research award in Chemistry was also awarded to Dr Mary Terry.
The Mime club staged a short play, dance clubs performed a fusion and the music clubs performed various songs.
Teachers were treated to lunch, where lovely presents were distributed to each faculty. Various performances were organized by the Students’ Union to entertain the teachers. Namita, III year B. Com performed a medley of famous songs and Anubuthi Club (Hindi Club) performed to various energetic numbers.
To light up the mood of the gathering and recall memories from their childhood, hit songs of the 70s, 80s and 90s were played to a happy group of teachers who greatly enjoyed the show. Some of the very enthusiastic teachers rekindled the child in them as they danced and sang to songs that were played to the delight of everyone present.
